Our yoga practice tells us a lot about ourselves. Sometimes the body is unwilling and the mind not receptive or it just so happens you lost your practice for a while. This yoga class is about opening up the body and making the mind receptive again for your yoga practice. We work from the outside in. Starting from hands, arms, shoulders, feet, and legs to back and neck.

In the fourth part of the program we cover backbends. We start with a short meditation and pawanmuktasana. Then Bhujangasana, Supta Virasana, and Paryankasana I and II. We close this part with Eka Pada Bhekasana and Bhekasana.

The third part of the program we cover twists. We start with a short meditation and pawanmuktasana. Then Parivrtta Gomukhasana and Jathara Parivartanasana. Next are Ardha Matsyendrasana II verions 1 and 2. We close this part with Marichiyasana, Bharatvajrasana I and Shavasana.

In the second part of the program we cover forward bends. We start of with some standing forward bends; Uttanasana and some variations thereof. Then seated postures are covered. Janusirsasana, Parivrtta Janusirsasana, Pascimottanasana and a variation on Pascimottanasana.

The opening part of the intermediate and developed beginners program. From Virabhadrasana II, we explore Parsvakonasana for deepening strength and awareness in the legs. Then we move into Parsvottanasana for a sense of the upward moving, sakti energy. This part is closed by Garudasana for stability and firm balance.

We explore variations of forward bends in shoulderstand. In Sarvangasana (shoulderstand) the position of the legs can vary leading to new asanas. In this class we explore a range of options for the legs either straight, bent or in a sitting position.

This gentle Sunsalutation will not only energize the body and focus the mind, it will open your hips and (lower) back as well. During the sunsalutation the energy is empowerd by incorporation a short Kapalabhati into this flow.

Headstand is one of the most defining and classic asana's of Hatha Yoga. It's origins lie in medieval history. Having familiarized yourself with this asana, try to take the next step. In this class we are exploring variations of Sirsansana (headstand) focussing on variations of arms and hands. We explore some variations with the legs as well. Variations include Parsva-Sirsasana, Baddha Hasta Sirsansana and Mukta Hasta Sirsasana. If you are not yet familiar with regular headstand or are not able to comfortably practice headstand free standing yet, don't try the variations !!

Starting with a short pawanmultasana (warming-up) we explore several variations of Marichyasana. Marichysasana I, II, III and IV are covered to give explore this twist in some of its variations. Next to tis you are creating a sens of balance and stability of body and mind.

This energizing class for the legs and hips will deepen your standing poses. We start of with a Pawanmuktasana to expand the consiousness in the feet, legs, hips, and lower back area. Thereafter we familiarize ourselves with some standing balancing poses. The standing balancings will provide you not only with a sense of strength, awareness and energy in the lower body but will also serve as a stepping stone to expand our consciousness to every part of your body - inside and out. This yields to a solid base to build a deep practice.

A class for people with hypertension. In this class we explore asanas suited for people with high blood pressure. All of the basic types of asanas are covered in this class. Poses are adopted to meet requirements to safely practice with hypertension. Additionally the asanas covered are meant to alleviate hypertension in due time.

In this invigorating class for heart and hands we explore some hand balancings. We start with some asanas to bring awareness to the chest, arms, and hands: Adho Mukha Svanasana and Viparita Karani. Firstly, asanas are explored without the balancing element to create a sense of stability and familiarity - Marichiyasana. Then we explore the essence of hand balancings, the lifing of the heart, the attentiveness and strength of the shoulders and arms, and the opening of the hands. We will create this experience by two varieties of Eka Hasta Bhujasana. We sign off with Dwi Hasta Bhujasana.

Pranayama is consciously delaying and extending the in- and exhalation and breathing pauses. We start with a short meditation, followed by various basic Pranayamas. We end with a short relaxation. In this class we explore the basics of the breathing techniques of Kapalabhati, Bhastrika, Anuloma, and Prattiloma Pranayama. We explore the breathing techniques themselves as well as introducing an accessible rhythm to work with.

A short Yoga class to open body and mind for Pranayama. We start with Yogamudra followed by a variation of Surya Namaskara. The prepatory sequence is closed by some side stretches and passive twists.

A short Yoga class for people who like to explore and deepen their backbends. We start with Sarvangasana and some variations thereof before exploring Matsyasana. We will end with Virasana and Supta-Virasana. You need to warm up before doing this class.

Warning: This is for advanced students only with no injuries in back, neck and shoulders. In this short Yoga class we are exploring some backbends form Sarvangasana. Starting with Sarvangasana and some forward bends like Ekapada Sarvangasana and Halasana. Next, we energize ourselves with Chakrasana - from Sarvangasana to Uttanasana - and Karnapidasana. Followed by a sequence of Padma-Sarvangasana and Garbhapindasana in Sarvangasana. The focus of the practice is dropbacks to Setubandhasana, Setubandha-Sarvangasana from Sarvangasana. Finally, some more advanced backbends are explored like Ekapada-Setubandhasana and Ekapada-Setubandha-Sarvangasana.

Starting from Sarvangasana and Halasana, we explore Karnapidasana for a bit. We center our practice around dropbacks to Setubandhasana from Sarvangasana with attention to the positioning of the hands.
