If there's one class that consistently shows up in our Top 10 Most Watched classes, it's this one...
Today's Throwback Thursday class was – in Sandra's words – “my first class on the psoas that was a game changer in my practice and teaching. I had very little idea here that the psoas was a gateway to deeply held tension and trauma. There was hardly any information about it in the yoga space and I was surprised by my students who were releasing much more than just muscle tension! Ever since this class, my interest deepened in trauma- informed yoga. I am so grateful for how it – and I – have grown and developed to help so many people feel better.”
The psoas is a large and important muscle in the body that’s involved in almost any movement. As the primary hip flexor, tightness in this muscle can lead to misalignment in the legs and lower back. This class will teach you how to find the psoas, release it in a neutral position and strengthen and stretch it. The practice includes some Vinyasa flow, thigh stretches, hip openers and backbends.
