This journey has only strengthened her resolve to move smartly, ensuring she remains active, centered and energised for the years ahead.
As a practitioner of Structural Integration and a certified teacher for Anatomy Trains and the art of motion Academy, Alexa’s mission is clear: to empower individuals to reclaim their bodies, freedom and joy to move; to alleviate pain, and to unlock their full potential for self-healing.
From science teacher to yoga teacher
Alexa’s love for movement and anatomy began early in life, a natural passion that has stayed with her ever since, shaped by experiences ranging from competitive horse tournaments in her youth to riding the waves of the ocean today. This deep-rooted passion led her to pursue a Master’s in Education with a focus on Biology and Physical Education, laying the foundation for her journey into the world of human anatomy and mindfulness.
It was during her time as a science teacher that Alexa discovered her true calling— helping people to feel, to move with and to understand the science of fascia in motion.
Fascinated by its profound impact on mind, movement and well-being, she immersed herself in studying bodywork and movement under the guidance of luminaries like Tom Myers, Lou Benson, Julie Hammond and Karin Gurtner. This marked the beginning of her journey into the world of fascia-focused bodywork and movement, where she had the privilege of sharing her knowledge through teacher trainings, retreats, and engagements at festivals and conferences worldwide.
Believing that “MOVEMENT IS YOU,” Alexa’s mission is to help individuals become pain-free(r), optimise posture, move well for a long future in motion, and build long-term health through knowledge and embodiment.
“I believe that by being equipped with trust in your innate sense of space, with knowledge, with fascia-focused movement skills, and a breathwork- & mindfulness-toolkit, your bodymind’s abilities are limitless.“
Join Alexa on a transformative journey where even the smallest movement moment becomes medicine, and healing becomes empowerment.
