Class one of the beginners series based on Patanjali's 8-limb system. In this class we start with the first and most profound of the Yamas, or social precepts, called Ahimsa. Non-violence can be applied to all levels of behavior and in this class it is used in the way of respect for ourselves. When starting with a new routine it is of vital importance to oberserve and act in accordance with our limitations. This not only makes the practice more enjoyable, encouraging you to stick with it; it also keeps you safe and is the fastest way to increased strength and flexibility.
