Compared to the more well-known Sun Salutation, Moon Namaskar (Moon Salutation) has a grounding and calming quality. This version offers postures that stimulate the lower back and gently works on the hips, hamstrings and back of the body. We take several breaths in each posture and appreciate the deeply calming nature of this sequence that's suitable to practice after a busy day. Completing the balancing nature of the practice with Alternate Nostril Breathing (Nadi Shodana).
