Feeling stiff, groggy, or even sore this morning? Try this Yin class either in bed or on your mat, right after waking up. This session is designed to help you release tension and stagnant Chi accumulated overnight, stimulate the 'yang' sympathetic nervous system, and boost your vitality. It will help you start your day feeling free, awake and refreshed.
We'll practice some pranayama to increase vitality and awaken the body, along with Yin yoga poses combined with movements to release morning stiffness in the back, neck, torso, hips, and legs. You can choose to do the pranayama at the start of the class – as guided by José – or at the end, after Savasana. As always, José provides different options for each pose, allowing you to adapt them to your needs.
Required props: your bed or a mat, a pillow or bolster, blanket, and one or two blocks. Belt (optional).
