Do you suffer from sciatica or have tense or painful glute (buttock) muscles? And does this affect you during the day? If so, this tension and pain-relieving Yin class, combined with tennis balls to stimulate specific acupuncture points and achieve a deep myofascial release, might be just the thing you need.
Soreness and stiffness in the body can be due to chi stagnation, so in this practice we’ll harmonise the flow of chi in order to restore your wellbeing. We’ll practice Yin yoga poses, placing tennis balls on specific acupuncture points that help ease sciatica and reduce tension in the glutes. José offers various options on how to position your body in order to find the 'juicy' spots.
At the end, there’ll be a guided, supported Savasana to integrate the myofascial and acupressure stimulation.
Props needed: blanket, pillow, 4 tennis balls, and 2 socks, optional blocks and bolster.
