Do you have tension in your throat, jaw and neck? Or do you suffer from headaches? If so, try this Yin class which uses balls to deeply stimulate the fascia and muscles in these areas. We’ll also stretch and compress the throat to boost the functioning of the thyroid glands. Furthermore we’ll do movements and poses that release tension in the jaw - this has a relaxing effect on the face, cranial nerves and on the fascia and muscles in the base of the skull. The block or (tennis) balls will stimulate the acupuncture points Urinary bladder 10 and Gallbladder 20 - these help to release tension in the neck and head, and even diminish headaches. José will explain how to target these points but it’s helpful if you can try and relax so that the pressure of the balls and gravity can work their magic.
You’ll need a blanket, pillow, bolster, 2 blocks, 2 tennis balls and 2 socks. Device (neck track & deep tissue massage balls from Deep recovery is optional.
