Do you have the flu, a cough, clogged up nose and a heavy head? Could you do with some self-care, clarity of mind, freer breathing and replenished energy? Then this Yin class, created to alleviate flu symptoms, will hopefully help.
It combines Qigong movements, Yin yoga and acupressure to relieve tension, soreness and harmonise the flow of chi to restore wellbeing. We’ll practice poses that open up the lungs, stimulate the kidneys and release tension in the belly, upper back and neck. We’ll also stimulate specific acupuncture points with (tennis) balls. Adjust your body to ensure you find the right spot - it might be a little tender but shouldn’t be painful. At the end of the class, we will slip into Savasana, so make sure you are comfy and warm when you practice.
Props: blanket, pillow, blocks, belt, 4 tennis balls and 2 socks and a device from deeprecovery.com (neck track & deep tissue massage balls).
