If you wake up in the morning feeling stiff, this quick energy boost is for you – you can even do it from your bed! According to Chinese Medicine stiffness indicates stagnation in the chi flow (the pure, universal energy in the body) and this can easily occur in our joints.This practice is inspired by a sequence from Dr. Motoyama, a Shinto priest, who has done scientific research on chi, chakras and meridian pathways.
We will do specific movements for all the joints of the body, including the SI-joint. The movements are gentle but effective and will leave your joints hydrated, mobile and ready for the day. This session is great for everyone no matter age, flexibility or experience, and is nice to do before a Yin or Yang yoga practice.
Props needed: a blanket.
