This class is specifically designed to help you build strength and prepare your body for Forearm Plank pose and to hold it from 30 seconds to a minute. It’s a dynamic practice which combines various asanas that target and engage your core muscles, arms, shoulders and legs, providing a solid foundation for this pose.
Forearm Plank (also called Dolphin plank), benefits those who want to build strength or maintain their strength, and those with an ageing body. By holding the body parallel to the ground, Forearm Plank activates and tones the deep core muscles, including the rectus abdominis, transverse abdominis, and obliques. It strengthens the entire core region, leading to improved spinal support, joint stability, better posture and balance, and reduced lower back pain. The core too serves as a bridge between the upper and lower body, connecting the more physical and energetic aspects of our being. Personally, I always feel both energised and grounded after working my core. I hope this class does the same for you!
