Are you sitting for long hours behind your computer? Do you have lower back pain and sore shoulders? Would you like to regain a good posture? Then try this short but challenging Yin practice in which we will restore the natural curvature of your lower back, open up the hips, chest and shoulders. Due to our sedentary lifestyle our chest and belly becomes restricted, our hips stiff and we hang in the lower back which pushes the natural curvature of the lower spine in the opposite direction. This causes shortness of breath, bad digestion, backache and perhaps eventually, even a hernia. To reverse this, try to do this practice at least 3 times a week. We will start with arriving using the breath to come into the present moment. Then we will continue with various Yin poses for which different variations are given, so you are able to do pose in the most effective way for your body. We will end with a Savasana and/or meditation.
Props needed: bolster, blanket, pillow, blocks.
