Sadness is perhaps one of the most difficult emotions, as it's often linked to a painful loss or experience that we can't 'rationalise' ourselves out of. In this class, we explore how to hold ourselves in gentle loving compassion as we navigate sadness, as well as - where appropriate in our journey - slowly opening ourselves to seeing small elements of beauty in life again. We reflect on how we can discover and meet our needs during this time, perhaps by ourselves or by seeking out and allowing support from others. Finally, we come to a gentle, cocooning meditation. We hold ourselves in safety and love, and allow space for our sadness to be soothed.
