Do you feel irritable, sensitive, emotional and tense just before your period starts? Then this Yin Yang class is for you! José begins with an explanation of the Chinese Medicine approach to PMS, which may help give you a deeper understanding (and help you to feel a little better!)
Then we continue with deep breathing to support your lungs and some Yin poses which release the chi flow in the Liver, Gallbladder, Lungs and Large Intestine. These will help you to let go of built up tension in the inner legs, buttocks and sides of the torso, and, at the same time, release emotions. We’ll also do a core booster, together with Kapalabhati breathing to move stagnation in the intestines.
This session will leave you more relaxed, tension-free and uplifted. Try it in the week before your period rather than when you’re already menstruating.
Props: blanket, pillow, bolster.
