Do you feel stiff, tense and easily irritated? Then this quick detox Yin class is for you. By stimulating the chi flow in the gallbladder and liver meridian pathways, you'll release emotional and physical toxicity from your system. We begin by stimulating the organs and getting rid of stagnation with some Kapalabhati breathing. (José explains the effects of this pranayama and how to practice it but you need more information, please check out specific classes on this breathing practice.) After having stimulated the organs we dive into Yin poses that release the side body; waist, intercostal muscles, hips, piriformis and inner thighs. This practice can be done on its own or as preparation for a more dynamic cleansing class. Different options are given for each pose, so you can adapt them to your needs. Props needed: blocks, bolster, pillow, blanket.
