This practice invites you to let go of control and rigidness through compassion and self love.
When life gets tough we feel the effect of that in our bodies and in our minds; our body becomes tense and our mind tends to become rigid in an attempt for control. When this gets the upper hand we forget joy, lose enthusiasm and can become negative, too serious and even sad.
Instead of turning away from the tension, pain or difficulty, in this practice we use gentle playfulness and compassion to melt away those attempts to control. We won't judge, we will release and become open; letting the heart speak and the mind calm down.
We practice Yin poses and Yang movements that stimulate the chi flow in the Fire and Metal meridians located in the arms, chest, upper back and neck. Afterward, you'll hopefully feel freer, warmer and more connected to your Self. Everyone can benefit from this class. Different options are given for each pose, so you can adapt them to your needs. Props needed: 2 blankets, bolster and pillow.
