The femur bone meets the pelvis in a ball and socket joint. This allows for a wide range of motion according to the shapes of our bones and muscular structure. The concept of ‘flossing’ involves moving the bones around the joint to lubricate and soften constricted tissues. This workshop-style experience is part practice and part lesson/exploration to look at how internal and external rotation feels in a variety of shapes and poses. David’s EkhartAcademy course, Expanding Horizons, goes into this much deeper with many more experiences along the way. Please have a belt ready for this practice.
