The increasing role technology plays in our lives is having a huge impact on our skeletal and muscular systems. Many of us spend much of our days rounding forwards, which decreases the strength we have in the back of the neck. This class is specifically for the head, neck and shoulder region, to create strength and mobility in those areas, while also remembering that everything is interconnected. We spend the first part of the class seated, mobilizing the neck in various ways, and then we start to bring in movements for the spine, hips and legs to make a well rounded practice. The middle section includes some standing poses and lunge variations while concentrating on shoulder and neck movements. The class finishes with time in shoulder bridge to passively allow the chest and shoulders to open. You will need a block and a belt for this practice.
