Learn how to care for yourself by stimulating the elemental energies of Wood, Metal and Earth from the perspective of Chinese medicine. José explains how these three elemental energies keep each other in check and how they are are manifested physically, emotionally, mentally and energetically.
These energies will be stimulated with several Yin poses that target the meridian pathways of: Liver, Gallbladder, Lungs, Large Intestine, Spleen and Stomach. In doing so, different things may happen. Frustration and anger may come up, your respiration and/or digestion may be stimulated, your patience and contentment might be enhanced. To aid the process of letting go, we practice pranayama that elongates your in- and exhale and Yin poses that stimulate, release and open up the back, legs and chest. This session focuses on self-care and release, so don't hold back or repress anything - just allow everything to flow. Different options are given for each pose, so you can adapt them to your needs. Props needed: blanket, blocks, bolster and/or pillow.
