Do you suffer from PMS? Do you have a lot cramps and pains during menstruation? Or do you have a lot of stress in your life? If so, then try this practice.
We start by connecting with the lower belly - the source of potential energy - to calm down and turn your attention inwards. We follow with some Yin poses that target the inner legs, open up the intercostal muscles and sides of the torso. These poses stimulate the Liver and Gallbladder meridians which help detoxify the body and calm the mind. We will also open up the hips and back, to relieve soreness in the lower back and belly. To enhance the blood circulation and the overall energy flow, we'll also stimulate the feet.
This session, which is also suitable for men too (just overlook the references to PMS & menstruation!) will leave you feel more relaxed, tension free and clear-minded. Props needed: blanket, pillow, bolster, blocks.
