In this session we work on releasing tension in the belly, solar plexus and the diaphragm. Various things in our lives - including having high expectations of ourselves, perfectionism, willpower to keep us upright and, of course, stress - can create tension in the diaphragm. This can lead to shallow breathing, hardness in the belly and stiffness in the organs, affecting your digestion and overall energy.
During this class we will use Yin poses, loving kindness and gentle exercises to relax the diaphragm, solar plexus and organs. The invitation is to let go of 'hardness' and connect with yourself lovingly. This session, which is suitable for everyone, will leave you relaxed, open and soft. We will end with a Savasana and meditation. Props: bolster, block, pillow, blanket.
