George starts class with a few exercises from the Pawanmuktanasana series; yoga for joints and glands. These are extremely beneficial exercises and the effect can reach deep into the body. Pawanmuktanasa exercises can be incorporated into your yoga routine for health, balance and to prevent injury. From there we move towards a full yogic breath - Sama Vritti - where the breath in and out are equal lengths. This quietens the mind and activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which helps you to feel relaxed and at ease. This is a seated class so make sure you have suitable props, so you can sit comfortably.
