In this first class of the program, Esther explains the breathing through the nose and mouth, often used in Kum Nye Yoga. (For the introductory class, Esther refers to, please click here.) This relaxed way of breathing, simultaneously through the mouth and the nose, both on the in-and out-breath, allows us to hold the body in an open concentration, giving it space and room to restore itself. After practicing this way of breathing, we will do some rotations with the head and shoulders to open up a flow of energy that now expands further into the body. After the rotations, we sit still in meditation, opening to sensations in the body without manipulation or goal.
