It's Throwback Thursday time again and if the only criteria for choosing these classes was based on titles, this is a sure winner! When asked why he chose this class, David said: "this is a movement practice that served me for many years... Now my body calls for different things but for a long while I practiced this a few times a week."
Let us know what YOU think in the comments below.
This well rounded yoga practice includes a 'morning series' to get you started. We begin by lying on the back and follow with a meditation to center in the heart and focus the mind. From there, the series carries on to rolling the joints and an active practice of Classical Surya Namaskara with some variations and Suyra Namaskara B with lots of variations to awaken the whole body.
This class is a Level II practice because of the speed and way of teaching rather than the difficulty of the postures. It has a slow and profound start and then gets moving to wake up the body. You can then decide your own finish (as it is a long warm up!) and David leads you through some time in Shoulder Stand and Savasana. You can substitute 'Legs up the wall' for Shoulder Stand if Shoulderstand isn't in your practice.
